eXact® Strip Micro AL Range Extender (NCW-486665)

This reagent is to be used in conjunction with any eXact® photometer that supports this test and can ONLY be used with the eXact® Strip Micro Total Alkalinity. This is easy to use without technical training and gives you lab-quality results. Example: If you test for Total Alkalinity using 486641 eXact Strip Micro Total Alkalinity and get a result of "HI" on the instrument (indicating it is over the limit which is 200 ppm), then retaining the test sample (water) you already have in the meter you can add one strip of 486665 (this reagent) and press read again and do the same motion for 20 seconds. Let's say you get a result of 150 ppm. That means your true result is 150 (result on screen) + 130 ppm (one Range Extender strip used) = 280 ppm.

If you still get "HI" after one Range Extender strip has been used, repeat with another Range Extender strip in the same water and add 130 ppm for each strip used to the final result you get on the screen.
